Spring 2020, Denim Wash Aprons
Inspired by specialty denim treatments of past decades, my concept for these aprons came from wanting to create a modern Americana feeling in the home kitchen. I researched every defunct method of washing denim from 1930 - 2000, and to pay proper homage, worked with an original 80s wash house. We created dozens of prototypes to get just the right look for each style and scaled the production slowly to ensure the textural vision wasn’t lost in mass production.
